“The fact that I am with you makes every moment of your life meaningful.”
When I read that line from Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young, it was as if I had just gotten a good “talkin’ to.”
Psalm 139:1-7, tells us that God knows us and wants what is best for us. He does all He can to guide us.
1 O LORD, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
3 You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
4 You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, LORD.
5 You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!7I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
I don’t know if God talks to you like He does me, but He basically just told me in that passage, “quit your whining!” “Is my grace not sufficient for you?” “Do you not see I value you and My guidance is for your protection?”
I immediately said, “Yes, Lord, I am sorry, thank you that my life has meaning just because You are with me.”
Can you imagine life without God?
Can you imagine facing death without God?
Can you imagine facing the disappointments we endure because of our own selfish ways, without God?
Can you imagine facing everyday heartache, without God?
I can’t, and I don’t want to ever experience a day without Him.
“Thank you Lord for bringing meaning to my life!”
When was the last time you ignored His presence?
